Donor Privacy Policy

Paper for Water ("We," "us," or "our"), a non-profit organization bringing clean water and the Word to the Thirsty, one piece of paper at a time, commits to respecting the privacy of all our donors ("You," "user," "site user," "your"). We have developed this exclusive privacy policy ("Donor Privacy Policy") to ensure our donors that their information will not be shared with any outside entity (third party) other than Paper for Water staff.

The purpose of Paper for Water's Donor Privacy Policy is to make donors aware of how any provided personal information will be used.

At any given time, donors have the right and opportunity to remove their names from our mailing list, donor database, or any other places where the donor information is collected and stored.

Information Collected

Paper for Water and its platform collect the following types of information, but not limited to:

  • Contact information: name, organization, complete address, phone number, email address;
  • Payment information is processed through Stripe, a secure third-party API within our platform. Information collected will include credit card number, expiration date, amount donated, and billing information.
  • Non-personally identifiable information, such as user behavior inside the platform. This requires that a "cookie" be sent to your web browser.

By entering information into our Platform, the donor agrees to receive periodic mailings and/or emails related to, but not limited to, fundraising events, appeals, newsletters, the organization's updates, new achievements, water well projects, and volunteering opportunities.

Paper for Water uses your information solely to complete donation transactions, communicate, and update the donor about foundation happenings. Credit card numbers are used only for donations or for payment processing authorized by the donor and are not retained for any other purpose.

No Sharing of Personal Information

Paper for Water promises its donors that we will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to any other organizations. We assume that as a donor and as a general user of our platform, your identity and information will be kept confidential. The usage of information will be limited to the internal purposes of Paper for Water.

Removal of Name from Our Mailing List

Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list by contacting info@paperforwater.org.
